Power of The Subconscious Mind

Our mind is extremely powerful. Unfortunately, most of us try to make changes solely from a conscious level. We base our desires to change and elevate on our motivation and will power. But without the support of your emotions and habits, which all reside in your subconscious mind, once your willpower and motivation fade, your emotions will override your logic in a heartbeat.

When you have an overwhelming amount of thoughts that keep you up at night, cause your heart rate to increase or simply drain your energy… aka thoughts that don't serve you… you must pay attention to those automatic negative distorted thinking patterns  which reside in your subconscious programming. You may consciously want to “relax” or thinking positive, but without training your mind to have positive resilience and take the time to reprogram that subconscious automatic thinking, you honestly don’t stand a chance. It is frustrating, draining and it can feel as if you are constantly trying to find coping mechanisms to “handle” an issue.

Coping mechanisms include both wonderful activities as well as destructive ones. For example, intense physical activity will often require most of your attention and boost you with endorphins, thus temporarily shutting out the automatic negative thoughts thrown at you by your subconscious. Drugs and alcohol will do the same but in a much more destructive manner as you are feeding the negative emotional disruption.

Nothing will override the thinking process unless you override it! Of course, with physical activity, your chances increase. Think of how the best trainers will get you to look in the mirror as your workout and say beautiful strong words about your body. Repetition is KEY! In those moment, add them together, and you create changes in your automatic thinking pattern.
